Although Sarah Baxter repeated as individual champ, her time today was substantially slower than in 2011. Weather does not appear to have been a factor. Did they instituted a different course?

Course was the same as always, and weather was not a factor in the fact that it did not actually rain during the race, and temps were high 40's. However, if you look at pictures or videos from the races you'll see all you need to know. Water and mud, up to 6-8" deep on a good portion of the course, from constant rain over the last couple of weeks. It was like running in quicksand, all that considered, Baxter ran a great race as usual. On the boys side the winner ran an almost comical 17:06, until you look at the times of some of the top runners in the country, Montoya 17:45, Leingang 18:14, Fernandez 18:20,
Burcham 18:27, Gonzalez 18:42. That makes Arcadia's performance even more incredible, and individually a great race for De La Rosa to finish 2nd.
