I have three questions of league meet managers:

1. How many divisions do you run in your season-ending league meet?

2. Do you score the meet?

3. Are prelims and finals considered one meet (a la CIF) for event limitation purposes?

I have three questions of league meet managers:

1. How many divisions do you run in your season-ending league meet? Do you mean Var/JV/FS??? If so just Varsity our AD's made us take out JV a few years ago.

2. Do you score the meet? No

3. Are prelims and finals considered one meet (a la CIF) for event limitation purposes? We only do Finals so not sure.

not sure exactly what you're asking w/#3, but your times from prelims will NOT qualify you as far as at-large marks go, and YES, prelims counts towards events in terms of the 4 event limitation. so, even if an athlete does not qualify for the finals in an event, they cannot then enter a new event at finals beyond their initial 4 entries at at the outset of the meet (such as relays or "finals only events" like the 3200)...

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks

Del Rey League
1. 4 Levels - Varsity boys and girls; JV boys and girls
2. Non-scoring
3. It is considered one meet.
Our league had a situation last year where an athlete did 3 individual events in prelims, dropped one individual event did 2 individual events and 2 relays in the finals. That was considered 5 events, the athlete and the relays were disqualified after a protest was lodged by multiple league coaches.
