Uniform Clarification
Hi all,
I just wanted to clarify the rule regarding uniforms that states "The top shall not be knotted or have a knot‐like protrusion. Bare midriff tops are not permitted.
The top must hang below or be tucked into the waistband of the uniform bottom when the competitor is standing upright."
Am I correct in reading this that uniform tops are NOT required to be tucked in?
I know for track, the preference is for them to be tucked in, but this is just to ensure the hip number is visible. I just want to be sure that it is not required though.
Thanks!

Uniform tops are to be long enough to not show any abdominal skin while standing erect at the starting line. Officials/Clerks are allowed by rule, at their discretion, to require uniform tops be tucked in if hip numbers are being obscured by the hanging top. Failure to follow this instruction could result in a DQ.

Thanks Hal! That was how I was reading it, but just wanted to make sure.
