Rick Foster Aloha -- Rest in Peace

I first became aware of Rick Foster back in the 1980s as a young pole vault coach in Los Angeles. I formally met Rick in the early 1990s when I took a group pole vaulters to a pole vault camp in Orange County. Rick has shared his knowledge and has given me great advice over the years. He also had a great story to tell about his latest exploits and endeavors. I made it a point to travel to the O.C. to pick up pole vault equipment, so I could just talk and find out what Rick was up to.

He has been a great advocate of track and field, specifically in the pole vault.
Every time I see an Hawaiian shirt, I will think of Rick.

Rest in Peace

Rick will be sorely missed for many, many reasons.
