Was watching it on Flotrack and I only have one question... Rene, what were you telling your girls with 1000m to go? Every time one of them passed him, they started to surge and pick off runners in front of them! Wow! Congrats to everyone but Rene wow!
He simply told them that they were gonna be shipped off to Yucca if they didn't start to move. That'd scare anybody into running harder.
He could ship them off to a different part of the HD, say, perhaps, Phelan. 9292 Sheep Creek Rd, Phelan, to be exact. I could have used some depth on Saturday to hold on to the podium spot we had at the two mile mark. Ugh.
What a great coach Rene is - to be able to almost pull off an 8th straight title without his #2! We wouldn't have even made it to state if I'd lost my #2.
