There qwill be an early season 2.25 mi race on that course on 9-5-15 and a full 3 mi race on Mt. SAC weekend, both Friday & Saturday.

Will the course be open other times for workout runs outside of the scheduled races?

What's the rationale in holding the full-length race on the same weekend as Mt Sac? Obviously all of us coaches who have aspirations of racing in CIF Finals would like to see the Prelims course ahead of time, but at the same time Mt Sac has so much history and for most of the younger kids, that is one of their only chances to see that course.

Knowing what the schedule is like most years, the two best weekends would seem to be the last weekend in September (Sept 26) or the first weekend in October (Oct 3). Both of those weekends are usually lighter in terms of "large" invitationals

If you look on Google Maps, the area in the southeast corner (corner of Columbia and Orange) will be the parking area with entrance and exit on Orange. Athlete (bus) drop-off will be in the clubhouse parking lot (the second building north on Orange) and the bus parking will then be off-site about a mile from the course (get your driver's cell phone number).

The Mt. SAC Inv, while historically significant is one of the most expensive meets around. They have significantly limited entries recently and does not even let you know the schedule until the week of the meet. It is a very significant meet but has become too big in my humble opinion. That being said, I can certainly see the draw for the meet among some teams.

Of course this year many interesting changes are happening and I shall enjoy seeing how it all plays out from the spectator stands.

The Inland Empire Challenge may be held there this coming season, as well. We are checking out the logistics of such a move.
