    League Records

I may have asked this question before but was wondering what other leagues do as far as their own league records.

Does your league acknowledge marks achieved at at your league meets only or are marks run at invitationals counted as well? For example, is Cooper Teare's 8:41.46 3200m a BCL record or is it simply a school record?

    Just curious.

    League Records

Trinity League (Old Serra League) has league records based on performances achieved at league prelims or finals. We also have list of top 10 performances as well.

    Thanks Sam. Anybody else?

Also, this is more of a rules question. If a mark is achieved by a girl while racing boys in a co-ed event, does that mark count? I know many meets combine the boys and girls 3200. What if girls ran in a 1600 race with boys?

as far as i would guess, league records are the prerogative of each league, so i don't think c.i.f. rules or national h.s. rules completely apply (outside of safety, or qualifying for post-season, etc.).

i can't imagine why you'd want to count non-league competitions towards league records--it seems you should just have an all-time performance list for such a purpose. for example, orange county has a pretty extensive all-time county performance/performers list (counting performances anywhere for o.c. high school athletes), but orange county championships has its own separate lists for meet performances.

as far as i know, the century league (now two separate conferences) only keeps championship meet records. i'm not aware of an all-time list for track, though we have one for our league course in cross country...

The Channel League only keeps championship meet records as well. The Ventura County TFCC Coaches association also keeps an extensive top 10+ list for county performances on its website.
