Hal Harkness - Changes to Relay Exchange Zones for Next Year?

At the SJS D4/5 meet, it was explained to us that next year, the 10m acceleration zone for the 4x100m relay would disappear and become part of an expanded 30m exchange zone. At my high school, we are in the process of building our first ever all weather track. I want to make sure that the information we were given is correct before giving the change order to our track builder.

I contacted them and they were still under the impression that the exchange zone changes only applied to IAAF sanctioned meets.

I have looked at the NFHS and CIF websites and found nothing. I'm hoping that Hal Harkness could chime in on this.

The 30 meter exchange zone is on the National Rules Committee agenda. Call NFHS and ask when the committee meets, sometime between mid-June and early July. Suspect it will be adopted, but I'm not in the inner loop.
